Food Scarcity

Mothers of the Nation are mothers who also felt the pain of not able to pay their children school fees. We know the pain of a child going to school without lunch box. We know the pain of them returning from school without finding food at home.

There is an African proverb that says: โ€œA woman holds the knife where it is sharpโ€ which simply implies that; a woman faces lifeโ€™s problems and challenges head-on regardless of any situation.

Mothers of the nation Foundation was established as a result of the realization of the poor socio-economic conditions that are ravaging the South Africanโ€™s previously disadvantaged communities and in particular, Black children who continuously and on daily basis are experiencing poverty, hunger, lack of recreational facilities that will take them off the streets and a host of other social ills that they find themselves exposed to and in this case; substance abuse comes into the picture.
